Rosie is crude, rude, obnoxious and dumb - other than that I like her very much!— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) July 11, 2014
On Friday, businessman Donald Trump slammed ABC's The View for bringing back "crude" and "obnoxious" Rosie O'Donnell to co-host the program.
"Rosie is crude, rude, obnoxious and dumb - other than that I like her very much!" Trump tweeted.
Trump, who has feuded for years with O'Donnell, had earlier mentioned how "desperate" ABC was for bringing back someone like O'Donnell after letting Jenny McCarthy and Sherri Shepherd.
O'Donnell has a history of airing anti-American views and and radical statements. She said "radical Christianity" is more threatening than radical Islam, disparaged Americans of Asian descent, is a 9/11 truther, and interrogated her son for joining the military.
Jenny McCarthy may have gotten the boot from "The View," but the daytime chat queen still plans to tune in to see Rosie O'Donnell return to her hosting gig.
"I love Rosie. I have been a fan of hers forever," McCarthy told reporters Friday, according to Us Weekly.
"I knew they were looking to bring some heat to the table and there is no doubt that will Rosie there will be some heat. They are definitely going in the direction of fire."
O'Donnell's comeback on Barbara Walters' long-running gabfest was confirmed Thursday, after much speculation about talks between the comedian and the network.
"It's going to be some exciting television," McCarthy said. "I will be there with my beer and popcorn at 11 in the morning. I can't wait to see how it plays out."
Her enthusiastic words come on the heels of being fired from "The View" after just 10 months as host. McCarthy and Sherri Shepherd were axed in a surprise housecleaning move from the network last month.
O'Donnell, whose time hosting "The View" in 2006 ended in controversy with producers, is the first name confirmed to join Whoopi Goldberg in the show's 18th season.
But McCarthy also teased to a "big announcement," possibly about her future, speaking to reporters Friday.
"Monday there will be a big announcement," she said. "Everyone should do something they love doing, but that shows off their strengths and have fun while doing it."
