Keira Knightley might feel more at home in casual outfits, but she certainly scrubs up well.
The British actress stepped out in New York on Thursday wearing a pale blue pleated shirt dress with silver heels and a pair of retro rounded sunglasses.
Her chic look was completed with a plaited updo, as she made her way to the press conference for her new film Begin Again.
Keira plays a singer-songwriter who is dumped by her musician boyfriend after he gets a break, but she soon teams up with a disgraced music executive to get her own foot on the industry ladder.
Joining her at the press conference were co-stars Mark Ruffalo, Adam Levine and James Corden with the film’s writer and director John Carney - the filmmaker behind the indie musical Once which has seen been adapted for the stage.
This is the first time most of the world has heard Keira - who is married to Klaxons keyboardist James Righton - sing on screen, and though many have praised her voice, the actress was slightly disappointed with the outcome.
