Austin Mahone has revealed that his fans worry he'll make "mistakes" like Justin Bieber or Miley Cyrus.
The 18-year-old singer told Digital Spy that he doesn't plan to make any "shocking" stunts in his personal or professional life.
"The shocking and risky thing that [Miley] has done has definitely got her more well known," he said. "I feel like a lot of fans on YouTube and Twitter are like, 'Oh, don't go crazy like these people'.
"And you know, everyone's definitely going to make mistakes. But I'm not worried, because I've got a big family around me... who are going to keep me in check, so I'm not too worried about it."
He added: "I feel like all these teen stars, they're doing what normal kids are doing, but because it's in the spotlight it gets blown up."
Mahone also revealed that his fans often have strange requests at his shows, saying: "I had a girl ask me if I could be their first kiss. I've gotten tons of those. There have definitely been some very strange [requests]."
On trying to make it somewhere he's less well known, Mahone said: "It is a little strange, but that makes it more of a challenge for me. I want to reach every little part of the world. I want a fan base on each continent."
Austin Mahone performs at the Capital FM Summertime Ball on Saturday (June 21), before playing his first solo UK gig at The O2 on Monday (June 23).
He will also release his new EP The Secret on June 30 in the UK.
