Ben & Jerry's introduces flavors inspired by 'Saturday Night Live' sketches

Ben & Jerry’s Scoop Shops will sell Gilly's Catastrophic Crunch, a combination of chocolate and sweet cream ice creams, with caramel clusters, fudge covered almonds and marshmallow swirl; and Lazy Sunday, with vanilla cake batter ice cream with yellow and chocolate cupcake pieces and a swirl of chocolate frosting.

Head to a Ben & Jerry's to create your own "Lazy Sunday."

The stores are selling two new ice cream flavors inspired by 'Saturday Night Live' comedy sketches.

Gilly's Catastrophic Crunch is based on Kristen Wiig's frantic, mischievous little girl character. It's a combination of chocolate and sweet cream ice creams, with caramel clusters, fudge covered almonds and marshmallow swirl.

Lazy Sunday is inspired by the Lonely Island digital short starring Andy Samberg and Chris Parnell, rapping about Magnolia Cupcakes and the "Chronicles of Narnia." The ice cream takes the song's culinary cues with vanilla cake batter ice cream with yellow and chocolate cupcake pieces and a swirl of chocolate frosting.
Later in the year, Ben & Jerry's will introduce two more flavors based on sketches coinciding with the 40th anniversary of 'SNL.'

It's not the first time the ice cream maker has partnered with NBC. It's previously released flavors like "Late Night Snack," inspired by Jimmy Fallon, and "Liz Lemon," a lemon frozen Greek yogurt based on Tina Fey's "30 Rock Character." And no one can forget get craziest flavor name of all: "Schweddy Balls."

The new flavors are only available at Scoop Shops and not by the pint.

I still haven't tried their Cores flavors, but this is exciting. Favorite B&J flavor, ONTD?
