She didn't open her eyes once but other than that it was a good cover.

God, her voice is so basic. All those struggling singers with amazing voices and here she is, wearing a stupid fucking hat.

in comparison to most ppl out there idt she's a bad singer at all tbh

plus her e.d. could have possibly damaged her voice a bit too

Yas 2 3:50 on down

Praying D5 is more along the lines of this vocally and sound wise instead of the generic radio pop that was most of DEMI

I dunno, there was a lot of great on Demi -

Without The Love
Two Pieces
Nightingale
In Case
Warrior
I Hate You, Don't Leave Me

I mean, yeah, there was some generic pop (not that it's a bad thing, I really liked some of that generic pop), but the above tracks especially Nightingale, In Case and the last one, were really, really strong. I know that it wasn't HWGA, but think that Demi gets blasted more than it should. I just really, really love all those songs I listed a whole bunch--well, not Warrior. But it's a strong song, just not my cup of tea.

Don't get me wrong I like DEMI, but even the songs you listed could have been recorded by any random pop girl (with the exception of IHYDLM & maybe Nightingale)

Its like the older she gets the less mature and unique her sound becomes. She keeps talking about how she wants to win Grammy's and be taken seriously but thats never gonna happen if she keeps recording and releasing these generic mall radio songs.

IHYDLM was an indicator that she's still got that HWGA spirit in her so I'm hoping she refines her sound next era and finds a good mix of being radio friendly and but still retaining her artistry.

Meh. I think people need to get over HWGA.

I think there's a lot of maturity to her mid tempos and ballads. Upbeat songs don't need maturity. And you don't need maturity to be nominated for or win Grammy's. Example 1: Katy Perry.

Also, as long as she's with Hollywood Records, she's not going to cut off her radio friendliness. What she most wanted after HWGA was to get radio hits. Now, she has had a string of them with "generic pop," so I don't see her abandoning it any time soon.

I'd like her to stray from the 1D/Taylor Swift-esque uptempos though (RDC, STWN).

As for the unique comment, as a huge stan, I've never really found her material ~unique. Like...for example, HWGA is a paint-by-colors of Since U Been Gone.

Ugh... I suffer(ed) from Bulimia, and it has wrecked my singing voice as well. I'm missing about half an octave. I'll get to about a D#5 before my voice flips and then it's all just occasional whistle tones.

What I'm saying is that she probably damaged her voice somewhere along the line, because it kind of gave out a bit at the end (4:06).

It was very good, for her, nevertheless.
