Mariah’s latest album may be a total flop thanks to a poor roll out (not the quality of the music), but the elusive chanteuse is already moving on and recording another Christmas album–her third. Mariah’s Christmas albums are usually pretty well received, so she has a chance with a new one. However, it could also be Christmas overkill with Mariah.
I am told by a reliable source that Mariah will release another remake of “All I Want for Christmas is You” with a very popular and beloved movie character, possibly Olaf the Snowman from Frozen. “Mariah thinks that Olaf is popular with kids and thinks a duet would earn her another number one song,” my source claims. “Mariah is absolutely focused on getting another number one song. She will do anything for it.”
It appears that Mariah’s next Christmas album will feature a lot of guest vocals and characters. The plan is to recruit Christmas icons such as Charlie Brown, Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer, Snow White, and even Mr. Hanky The Christmas Poo from South Park. However, Mariah plans to do something that has rarely been done before–duet with icons who have passed away.
“I’m not sure if it will be Whitney Houston, Michael Jackson, Frank Sinatra, or even all three of them–but Mariah is determined to make something like this happen,” I am told. It definitely sounds like it could be an interesting album.
When was your last flop and how did you handle it, ONTD?
