Solange sales boosted after Jay Z elevator collaboration

Solange Knowles' digital music sales appear to have been boosted by her confrontation with Jay Z.

According to Nielsen SoundScan data obtained by HipHopDX, Solange's digital sales were up to 2,000 in the week following the highly publicised confrontation. Solange secured 600 digital sales in the week prior to the argument at the Standard Hotel.

Beyoncé, Jay Z and Solange have attempted to put the fight behind them, releasing a joint statement to confirm that they are "moving forward".

"As a result of the public release of the elevator security footage from Monday, May 5th, there has been a great deal of speculation about what triggered the unfortunate incident. But the most important thing is that our family has worked through it.

"Jay and Solange each assume their share of responsibility for what has occurred. They both acknowledge their role in this private matter that has played out in the public. They both have apologised to each other and we have moved forward as a united family."

Beyoncé has since posted a new photo featuring her sibling Solange and husband Jay Z on her Instagram page.
