The 'Do What U Want' singer has got her brand new world tour underway this month and while the stage is bombarded with outrageous outfits, hunky dancers and explosions of colour, Gaga insists it's not a way of disguising poor vocals.
In an interview with Angie Martinez on Extra TV, Gaga said: “I don’t think it’s cool to lip sync. I’m not judging if people do because it’s everybody’s own style of what they decided to be, the type of artist they will be, but I think if you pay money for a ticket to see a show the artist should f**king have some pipes and sing their records for you.”
Gaga, 28, was forced to cancel dates of of her 'Born This Way Ball' tour last year to undergo hip surgery, and the diva says she now takes full advantage of being able to dance.
“The best part of my day is when I’m on stage performing for the fans, I really love Art Pop so to perform it live, see them singing, dancing is like the best thing ever,” Gaga explained.
“Every day I have to do a totally different thing with my body than I used to, to keep it really healthy, but it feels really good.”
Gaga has so far performed shows in New York City, Philadelphia, Atlanta, Washington and Detroit, and will continue the jaunt tonight in Saint Paul, Minnesota.
