</a>Update: “Glee” Ratings Slip to Series Low for Colfer’s Episode By Brian Cantor | May 7, 2014

Update: If it does not receive an upward adjustment in the final Nielsen report, Tuesday’s edition of “Glee” will rank as the series’ worst-rated and least-watched episode to date.

Per Fast National Data, “Glee” scored a 0.8 adults 18-49 rating with 2.16 million viewers. No previous episode had attracted a demo rating of less than 0.9 or a viewership total of less than 2.30 million.

While last week’s episode delivered the same 0.8 in the fast nationals, it was adjusted up to a 0.9 in the finals. Its viewership tally was stronger in both reports.

FOX followed “Glee” with the season finales of “New Girl” (1.2, 2.39 million) and “The Mindy Project” (1.3, 2.45 million).

Offering a distraction from the negativity surrounding the “Glee” ratings and backstage situation, Tuesday’s episode, which was penned by star Chris Colfer, represented one of the most unabashedly feel-good hours in the series’ history.

It did not, however, hook viewers.

“Old Dog, New Tricks,” the fifth season’s penultimate episode, drew a 1.9 overnight household rating. It ties last week’s showing as a low for the series.

The “New Girl” and “Mindy Project” season finales, which followed, drew respective 1.9 and 1.8 overnight household ratings.

Updated ratings data, including adults 18-49 ratings and viewership totals, will be available by noon.
