Taye Diggs has a new girlfriend

He announced the end of his ten-year marriage to Idina Menzel in December.

But it seems Taye Diggs is already moving on, as he was pictured with a pretty brunette in West Hollywood on Wednesday night.

The  Private Practice star and his curvy date walked hand-in-hand as they left Hooray Henry's nightclub after their date.

While Taye, 43, was dressed down in a white T-shirt and grey trousers, he smartened his look with a black waistcoat and hat.

And his new girlfriend wore a clinging black and white striped skirt teamed with a black crop top - revealing a hint of her toned waist.

The lovey dovey two certainly appeared to be more than just friends, stopping for Taye to whisper something into her ear, before facing the cameras smiling.

Taye and Frozen star Idina met while starring in Rent back in 1996, and married in 2003.

They have one son, four-year-old Walter, but announced their marriage was over in December.

While Taye has not spoken about the split, woman-of-the-moment Idina joked on CBS Sunday Morning this week: 'If I didn't have a job... I'd be home eating a tray of brownies and, you know, watching sad romantic comedies and Bridget Jones-ing it out.'

That's not an option for the If/Then Broadway star, who has found a huge new audience thanks to her voiceover role on Frozen.

And the 42-year-old added of Taye: 'We met when we were 25 in Rent. So, we've been through a lot of ups and downs, and we've worked really hard for a long time.

'I just think we've grown apart, grown up, grown to a place where we think maybe we can learn new things about ourselves, going on our own separate ways.'

The Frozen phenomenon (the film has made over $1 billion since its November US release) has put her in the spotlight in a big way.  It's been 'overwhelming at times,' the Wicked star told People.

It's been crazy. So I've just focused on the show. 'More people know me. But having a four-year-old keeps me grounded no matter what else is happening.'

And returning to Broadway - her first big hit was Rent - has been helpful. 'It's like being back home,' she said.

As far as being a single woman, Menzel admits she has 'self doubt' but is learning to be okay with who she is.  'As I've grown older, I want to be the kind of person who is courageous, who takes risks. And I want to give back.'
