Made in America Festival taking place in Philly and LA this year

Budweiser's Made in America Festival is set to return to Philadelphia on Labor Day weekend, Aug. 30-31.

The two-day festival, which is curated by Jay Z, has yet to release its line-up, but tickets are currently on sale for the Philadelphia show for $99.50 at madeinamericafest.com. This year, the festival will also be held in Los Angeles. Tickets for the California festival are on sale for $125.

Funds raised from the festivals will go to benefit United Ways in the area, with the Philadelphia festival benefiting the United Way of Philadelphia and Southern New Jersey, as well as the United Way of Lancaster County. The Los Angeles show will help the United Way of Greater Los Angeles.

Last year's Made in America Festival featured performances by Macklemore and Ryan Lewis, Nine Inch Nails, Beyonce and Phoenix. Wiz Khalifa serenaded Amber Rose in front of a live audience and HAIM's Este got hit in the face with a shoe (but was okay).

I like that this is becoming an east coast Lollapalooza in terms of large acts. I'm assuming Jay/Bey will have a joint set like what Jay did with Kanye/G.O.O.D. Music two summers ago rather than a full tour.  I'm going either way cause I know Outkast should attend.

One of the most organized new festivals I've ever been too. The price is also very affordable. I can't wait to go again.

It's cool they are doing it in LA too, I might go if there are some good acts announced! Though I stg August is literally the worst month to hold a festival here, it's soooooo hot.

i HATE how shit like this feeds into the misconception that the only "America" is the US. Bitch every country on this side of the world is America

Went the past two years (and only Sunday last year because electric zoo got shut down…) but it was the biggest shitshow in philly. WAY too crowded. wish it were in a park like LA and not in the street.

I went last year and it wasn't bad, if you live in a high rise its a free show and everything ends by 12:30 am.

Not at all - there's no reentry so people don't really wander around outside the Park area. Plus, free live music for you.

Might go again this year, depending on the lineup. It IS my birthday weekend, after all.
