Budweiser's Made in America Festival is set to return to Philadelphia on Labor Day weekend, Aug. 30-31.
The two-day festival, which is curated by Jay Z, has yet to release its line-up, but tickets are currently on sale for the Philadelphia show for $99.50 at madeinamericafest.com. This year, the festival will also be held in Los Angeles. Tickets for the California festival are on sale for $125.
Funds raised from the festivals will go to benefit United Ways in the area, with the Philadelphia festival benefiting the United Way of Philadelphia and Southern New Jersey, as well as the United Way of Lancaster County. The Los Angeles show will help the United Way of Greater Los Angeles.
Last year's Made in America Festival featured performances by Macklemore and Ryan Lewis, Nine Inch Nails, Beyonce and Phoenix. Wiz Khalifa serenaded Amber Rose in front of a live audience and HAIM's Este got hit in the face with a shoe (but was okay).
I like that this is becoming an east coast Lollapalooza in terms of large acts. I'm assuming Jay/Bey will have a joint set like what Jay did with Kanye/G.O.O.D. Music two summers ago rather than a full tour. I'm going either way cause I know Outkast should attend.
