Hip-hop superstar Kanye West, who rented out San Francisco's ballpark last fall so he could propose to Kim Kardashian, will return to "The City By the Bay" in August to headline the seventh annual Outside Lands Festival. Joining the rapper atop the bill for the three-day fest will be Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers, The Killers and Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, among others.
The event will again take place in historic Golden Gate Park, August 8-10. This will mark West's Outside Lands debut and Petty's second as headliner -- the last time was 2008.
Other topline artists filling this year's lineup include alt-rock favorites Arctic Monkeys and Death Cab for Cutie, dance music stars Tiesto and Disclosure, country music darling Kacey Musgraves, and pop-rockers Haim and Tegan & Sara.
Spoon, The Flaming Lips, Ray LaMontagne, Atmosphere, Chvrches, Chromeo, Tedeschi Trucks Band, Jenny Lewis, Cut Copy, Grouplove, Capital Cities, Deer Tick and Atmosphere are also in the mix.
Last year's Outside Lands, which sold out, featured a rock-heavy lineup that included Paul McCartney, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Nine Inch Nails, Phoenix, Vampire Weekend and Yeah Yeah Yeahs.
Tickets go on sale this Thursday, April 10, at 10 a.m. PDT.
