NBA Mini Round Up !

Chandler Parsons has quite the knack for teaming up with attractive women to promote a brand.

You may recall that several months ago, the Rockets forward joined model Ashley Sky for a Buffalo Jeans campaign.

Last night, Parsons, who is an "ambassador" beach label OP, appeared at an event in New York City with swimsuit model Nina Agdal.

Based on the pictures below, it seemed like a fun job for Parsons.

Dwight Howard trolls LeBron James and his receding hairline

LeBron James thought he pulled of an epic April Fools' Day prank when he tweeted he was releasing a rap mix tape that featured many top current hip-hop artists.

It definitely wasn't the funniest prank we've ever seen.

But Rockets center Dwight Howard thought he'd give everybody an April Fools' laugh, too. Unfortunately, it came at the expense of James. And Howard definitely hit him where it hurt.

Howard posted a photo on Instagram of James with a full set of Photoshopped hair.

Now, James' hairline has long been a running joke in the sports world, and Howard just couldn't resist. At least Howard acknowledged his own receding hairline.

LeBron's forehead is rapidly expanding.

Though we do have to ask. Is this really an April Fools'? April 1st is reserved for pranks and deception. Howard is just being mean, no?

Oh well. Anything for a laugh.

You can officially add NBA star Kevin Durant to the list of Redskins fans who want to see DeSean Jackson sign with Washington. Durant joined the cause on Tuesday when he sent a tweet to Jackson telling the free agent wide receiver he belongs in Washington.

Durant is a big Redskins fan who has his heart broken in Week 6 when he attended Washington's Sunday night loss to the Cowboys in Dallas. After watching that game, Durant probably figured the Redskins could use some more offensive firepower.

The Oklahoma City Thunder forward is helping the Redskins put the full-court press on Jackson. Durant's tweet comes on the heels of Monday night's outing when DeAngelo Hall and Pierre Garcon took Jackson out to a club in Washington DC.

Kevin Love on Brooklyn Nets Turnaround: ‘They’re in the East’

Minnesota Timberwolves All-Star forward Kevin Love was in a sour mood and feeling exhausted on Sunday, as he struggled in a 114-99 loss the surging Brooklyn Nets. Love thinks the Nets — winners of 13 straight at home, tying a franchise record — aren’t a total disaster only because of the weak conference they play in. Per the NY Post:

Watch Paul George explode out of a bottle of Gatorade for a dunk

Paul George has had a career year in his fourth NBA season. He’s led the Indiana Pacers to the best record in the Eastern Conference, started in his first All-Star game and emerged as a legitimate superstar. Now, he’s fully arrived: he’s making his Gatorade commercial debut.

The spot is brief but powerful: George explodes out of a bottle of Gatorade and beats the wave of blue liquid to dunk. It captures his essence and establishes him as a superstar in another way: This guy is marketable.

It’s a commercial that will be shown a lot this spring, particularly if the Pacers make the Finals.

Chris Paul befriends Iowa University basketball coach's son who was diagnosed with cancer

On March 19, Iowa University basketball coach Fran McCaffery’s 14-year-old son, Patrick, had surgery to remove a malignant tumor on his thyroid. Word spread throughout the basketball community, and Patrick got a surprise phone call: Los Angeles Clippers superstar point guard Chris Paul.

From the Des Moines Register:

“He said he would call him back after the surgery and he did, which is pretty amazing,” Fran said. “He talked to him (before the first surgery) and told him it was OK to be scared. Because Patrick admitted he was scared. He said, ‘It’s OK to be scared, but you’re going to be fine.’ He was encouraging and warm, and it really meant a lot to Patrick.”

Paul and McCaffery go way back. When Paul played college basketball at Wake Forest, McCaffery was coaching at nearby North Carolina-Greensboro.

In recent weeks, Patrick and his family have attended a Clippers shootaround and game as guests of Paul, who keeps in touch with him and has tweeted his encouragement.

Patrick will undergo a second procedure on April 17 to determine whether or not he needs additional treatment for the tumor.
