You gotta love the priorities of the Westboro Baptist Church, whose founder is reportedly near death and -- wait, what? -- excommunicated. The controversial group announced in a babbling blog post that they no longer have faith in Lorde, and will protest the "Royals" singer's upcoming show in Kansas City, MO.
"New Zealand came forth with a young lassie that doesn't have enough sense to put in a thimble," the statement goes. "Now the world has elevated her to the status of an idol. Then the world began to weigh in."
The nonsense continues, "They think this and that and blah, blah, barf."
Lorde's KC show is set for March 21 at the Midland Theater. The New Zealand teen is actually excited about the news and is encouraging fans to give the hate-group a colorful welcome.
she deleted the tweets but i was loving it lol:
"hahaha omg just found out westboro baptist church are going to picket my show in kansas city"
"Everyone wear rainbow clothing to that show," she writes on Twitter. "Everyone try to kiss church members who are same sex as you they will so love it."
The Topeka-based group will also picket Young the Giant and comedian Nancy Griffith in the coming week.
