She is often complimented on her seemingly ever-youthful appearance.
But as Madonna arrived on Saturday to the Kabbalah Centre in New York she was looking suspiciously puffy.
Although to be fair the 55-year-old was embarked upon a rare make-up free public outing in the brisk streets of the Big Apple.
Normally tight, taut and incredibly even in tone; the superstar would be the envy of many younger women but was looking a bit tired on this particular outing.
Madge, who sometimes gets it so, so wrong, was even rocking a black outfit that you'd expect to see on a much younger woman except she managed to pull it off with aplomb.

Wearing a beanie and a scarf, the blonde looked cool in gold studded fingerless gloves and a dark trench coat.
Completing her relaxed getup was a pair of black slacks as she headed to the religious centre, most certainly on her way to observe the Jewish holiday of Purim.
That same day the star posted a snap of herself dressed as the Mother of Dragons from Game Of Thrones to her Instagram.
She captioned the memento: 'Happy Purim!!!!! All Hail All Queens! ##certainty'.
Last month, Madonna opened the eighth location of her Hard Candy Fitness Centres, this time in Toronto where she joined her personal Nicole Winhoffer to celebrate.
A bit puffy: The 55-year-old made a cool arrival to Purim celebrations
The Material Girl led 50 members of the gym in an Addicted To Sweat class, which Winhoffer designed to give a good cardio and toning workout.
Madonna does this session six days a week and Nicole explains just why it features on all the Hard Candy Gyms’ schedules.
‘[The classes] are challenging and you will get a full body workout,’ Winhoffer told Us Weekly. ‘Dance is key and a big part of our workout.’
