Korean Actress Kim Soo Hyun to have significant supporting role in Avengers: Age of Ultron

Walt Disney Company Korea has officially announced that K-actress Kim Soo Hyun (Claudia Kim) has confirmed that she will star (aka appear) in the Hollywood Blockbuster Avengers: Age Of Ultron (Avengers 2). The character she will portray in the film is unknown as of now.

An official of the film said, “It would be a spoiler, so we can’t tell you which character Kim Soo Hyung will play,” during a telephone call with OSEN. The official also added, “Marvel always prohibits telling too much about the story. Her character is already decided and the scene is already written so we cast Kim Soo Hyun, but we can’t let you know about her character. We only can say that her character is a substantial supporting role.”

Kim Soo Hyun has previously been in several dramas, such as Level 7 Civil Servant, Brain, Runaway: Plan B and Romance Town, but this will be Soo Hyun’s first movie role. She will start to shoot the movie in Korea this April and continue it abroad. Kim Soo Hyun’s agency, Apple of the Eye, said that there will be quite a few scenes she appears in because she will take a substantial role. She will join the other members of the Avengers to shoot the scenes, which will be filmed abroad. It will take some time to line up the schedule of Kim Soo Hyun with other cast member's schedules.

Past rumors had claimed Kim Soo Hyun was playing a doctor to Robert Downey Jr.'s Tony Stark with ties to Ultron.

Kim Soo Hyun briefly stated her feelings about being casted in the Hollywood blockbuster through her twitter on the 5th. She uploaded a picture of herself taken in Marvel comic’s store and said, “After a long wait, I’m so happy to be back with great news. I have a lot to do ahead of me, but for now, the words ‘Welcome to the Marvel Universe’ are amazing and kind of overwhelming. I was a fan of Marvel Comics, and if you really like something it looks like fate can make it happen."

As her first official event since joining the cast of the film, Soo Hyun will attend the global premiere of “Captain America: Winter Soldier” in Los Angeles on March 13th.

Filming will start this spring, and the movie will be released in Korea in April of next year.

Let's hope she makes the final cut and through to the end credits
