"Of course she will be wearing Dior, so the question is which look?" Kallon says of the Best Supporting Actress nominee (and last year's best actress winner) and face of Miss Dior. "If the look isn't custom, I would love to see her wearing this streamline fitted strapless gown with red appliqués from the Spring 2014 Couture collection. She did the princess ball gown last year, so this more youthful, modern look would refresh her style credentials."
"We have seen Lupita rock everything but a ball gown. On a night where the motto is 'go big or go home' I would love to see her wearing this pretty floral gown from Elie Saab Spring 2014 Couture collection," Kallon tells Us of this year's breakout red carpet star. "While she hasn't done ball gowns, she has done prints, so I don't see her being overwhelmed by this look."
"She's the ultimate movie star for me, and I think she's the most gorgeous woman on the planet," Patrickson, who works with Emma Watson and Julianne Hough, tells Us. "She doesn't need fussy, busy dresses. Simple, elegant and a classy." Her pick for the August: Osage County nominee: The double-breasted white gown with gold accents from Zuhair Murad Spring 2014 Couture.
"Bold colors have been the foundation of Sandra's red carpet looks this awards season, but I think she might tone things down a bit for the Oscars," Catherine Kallon, founder and editor of RedCarpet-FashionAwards.com, tells Us. "I can see her wearing this berry-hued Burberry Prorsum Pre-Fall 2014 gown, which would be great for her coloring and the peek-a-boo lace giving the look a soft sensuality.
"Ms. Blanchett can do no wrong both on the carpet and on the screen," celeb stylist Anita Patrickson tells Us. "I love the structured fashion forward gowns she chooses that are both on trend but timeless as well."
"Meryl Streep has been wearing a lot of Stella McCartney lately, but I predict she will return to a more simple and classic look for the Oscars," Kallon says of the 18-time nominee. "I picked this Badgley Mischka Fall 2014 gown for its flattering silhouette and touch of sparkle."
