Bryan Singer on his spat with Halle Berry during X2
Bryan Singer has revealed what Halle Berry really said to him during their altercation on the set of X-Men 2.
Bryan Singer had a "rough moment" with Halle Berry.
The director is behind the X-Men franchise, which stars the pretty actress as Ororo Munroe/Storm.
While they have a great working relationship now, the colleagues famously argued on the set of 2003's X-Men 2, with Halle rumoured to have told Bryan to "kiss my black ass".
"We had a rough moment," the filmmaker revealed to Empire.
"I've never really talked about this. I got into a personal argument with my dear friend, who I'm still very close friends with today, Tom DeSanto, the executive producer on the film.
"We got into an argument and were late shooting, and certain actors were p**sed. Two in particular, one who had to wear a lot of make-up (Alan Cumming). We had a conference in one of the trailers and I felt that there was a misunderstanding, and I didn't agree with them, and Halle stormed out. But she didn't say... What was it? What was the quote?"
When reminded of the "kiss my black ass" rumour, Bryan responded with laughter and set
the record straight.
"No! She actually said, 'You can watch my black ass while I walk out of here,'" he chuckled.
"[It's even better]. That's why I remember it!"
Bryan revealed he went to dinner with Hugh Jackman, who plays Logan/Wolverine and James Marsden, who takes on the role Scott Summers/Cyclops, afterwards.
He took the opportunity to apologise to the stars, admitting that he "felt terrible" about putting shooting on hold.
Halle, 47, returns to the franchise in X-Men: Days of Future Past, which is due for release in May this year.
It seems there is no bad blood between the actress and Bryan."Couldn't be more excited that #HalleBerry has joined the cast of #XMen #DaysofFuturePast.
"Hopefully she can improve the weather in Montreal (sic)," he tweeted when the good news was revealed
