gross. you can put a wrinkled sack of washed-up in pretty dresses and airbrush them all you want people its still not going to trick anyone into wanting to see it.

Not that I have anything against Sharon Stone, but...for all that she's beautiful, she seems so milquetoast. Her looks are hardly unique or particularly stellar. She's just another blonde woman with vaguely harpy features.

Exactly, that's why I was thinking "Why??" when I just read this. Other than Kate Moss, it seems like no one uses models anymore, it's all celebs.

Oh, um, well. I have no particular affection or preference for models versus celebs, and considering how many prominent actresses did a bit of modeling (well, this is less so now, but I'm thinking of Kim Basinger, for example), it's evident that there are some who can act and have a look unique enough for fashion. I suppose?

I'm no real expert on the subject, I just think Sharon Stone isn't particularly special looks-wise.

Jessica Stam
Daria Werbowy [from the Chanel ads]

Or an actress with style and elegance. Like Anne Hathaway, Scar Jo, Natalie Portman, or even Rachel McAdams, who doesn't get enough credit for her beauty.

Like the shoot, like Sharon, love the red dress on her (very flattering for someone with her colouring), love her hair in the first pic (much more flattering and classy).
