When most chart-topping celebrities reach their birthdays, most celebrate with a glamorous party or, if you're Kate Moss, a four-day bender.
But singer Shakira clearly prefers to keep it simple - by spending time with her baby son, Milan.
The Hips Don't Lie star was seen marking her 37th birthday on Monday morning with a playful exchange in the back of a chauffeur-driven car.
Wearing a simple grey jumper with a beaded necklace and matching hat, the Colombian beauty appeared make-up free as she mothered the toddler.
Adorably, the youngster repeatedly touched his superstar mother's face which sparked a heartfelt smile from the million-selling performer.
He himself turned one on January 22, which saw Shakira and her partner, 26-year-old Spanish soccer player Gerard Piqué, celebrate at their home in Barcelona.
The doting duo were joined by their close family, including her parents William Mebarak and Nidia del Carmen Ripoll, to mark the milestone moment.
To commemorate the special day, Shakira tweeted a collage with her beloved little one, saying, '@shakira y @3gerardpique say Happy Birthday To Milan!! :)'
And on the same day, Shakira announced the title of her upcoming album - Shakira - which will release on March 25.
'I’m so happy that I will soon be sharing my latest album with you all, something I’ve been working on for over two years now,' she announced on Facebook, explaining how it's been 'the happiest period of her life thus far.'
She added: 'When the time came to put a name to this album, I realised that it’s not exactly a thematic album, though love is and always has been one of my main subjects and sources for inspiration. It’s also not necessarily conceptual, as some of my albums have been in the past.'
