Jake Gyllenhaal and Amy Adams are set to star in Philip Seymour Hoffman's sophomore feature "Ezekiel Moss," an individual familiar with the project.
Keith Bunin wrote the Depression-era script, which follows a young boy living in a small town. He becomes friends with a mysterious drifter (Gyllenhaal) who appears to be able to communicate with the dead. Adams will play the boy's widowed mother.
Producers include Anthony Bregman of A Likely Story, Cathy Schulman of Mandalay Vision, Kevin Frakes of PalmStar Media Capital and Raj Brinder Singh of Merced Media Partners.Adams recently received her fifth Oscar nomination for "American Hustle", which Gyllenhaal next stars in A24's "Enemy." Both actors are represented by WME.
