Live Updates from the Producers Guild Awards 2014

Tonight, I'll be hanging out at the Beverly Hilton in Los Angeles covering the Producers Guild of America Awards. Red carpet staff are lined up with Tiffany swag bags, passed apps are floating by and producers and presenters, Barkhad Abdi among them, are beginning to hold court in the lobby.

The PGA winner is typically a harbinger for the Best Picture Oscar. This year's film nominees are "American Hustle," "Blue Jasmine," "Captain Phillips," "Dallas Buyers Club," "Gravity," "Her," "Nebraska," "Saving Mr. Banks," "12 Years a Slave" and "The Wolf of Wall Street." Whoever wins tonight -- and it's likely to be either "Hustle," "Gravity" or "12 Years" -- may well seal the deal for Oscar night, as guild voters aren't bucking Oscar trends as much as they used to.

The awards begin at 7:30. Stay tuned for on-the-ground updates and winners as they come. I've listed the full nominees below, including awards for docs, animated features, TV and more. Check out Anne's story about this year's nominations for more background. You can find me on Twitter @ryanlattanzio for updates as well.

6:20 - Milling about the red carpet are radiant Louis-Dreyfus, here with her family, suave Leonardo DiCaprio, nominees Ron Howard ("Arrested Development") and Vince Gilligan ("Breaking Bad"), and Morgan Freeman in aviators. Lupita Nyong'o dons another winning dress. For the second time this week, I've seen David O. Russell with a woman on each arm. Follow the Beverly Hilton Instagram for red carpet pics far better than those from my vantage point.

Dinner in T minus 10, so look for more updates as the awards proceed, around 7:30. I'll keep tweeting as well.

5:45 - Among the presenters tonight are Sarah Paulson and Barkhad Abdi (both already in the house), lovely Lupita Nyong'o (fresh off her SAG win last night), Steve Coogan, comedian Billy Gardell, Hollywood mogul David Picker, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Kevin Spacey, Michael B. Jordan and more.
