Robert Pattinson sells Twilight love nest to Jim Parsons for $6.37m

Love don't live here any more - but The Big Bang star Jim Parsons does.

Robert Pattinson has sold the the sprawling Spanish Colonial estate he shared with Twilight co-star Kristen Stewart to Jim for $6.375 million, according to the Los Angeles Times.

That's less than the 27-year-old wanted for the mansion in the Los Feliz neighbourhood of Los Angeles. The property, which stands in 1.5 acres, was listed at $6.75 million in October. But the sale prices is still a hike on the $6.25 million the love-struck star paid for the mansion two years ago.

The couple broke up in May after Kristen's reported fling with her married Snow White And The Huntsman director Rupert Sanders, 42.

Robert is said to be living in another abode in a gated community 10 miles away.

Kristen, 23, bought a $2.1 million home in the same vicinity as the one she once shared with Robert.

The hacienda-style mansion has plenty of old world charm.

It has three bedrooms and three-and-a-half baths in 4,026 square feet.

Originally built in 1922, the residence features a Spanish-tile roof, curved archways, antique tile and stone, and hand-carved wood and stencilled ceilings.

The 1.5 acre grounds also boast a swimming pool for cooling off in during hot summer nights, and waterfalls and fountains.

Driving up to the entrance, one is met by grey flagstone, an immaculate row of hedges and orderly garden, and there's an inner courtyard just beyond an archway.

The tile courtyard is dotted here and there with soaring palm trees and just beyond lies the rustic landscape planted with indigenous flora and fauna such as aloe vera.

The resort-style pool has incredible city view.

Going back inside the house, hardwood floors abound and the formal dining room could seat a dozen or more guests, which makes this place perfect for entertaining.

The living area has a wood-burning fireplace, rustic wood-beamed ceiling and a row of French doors that open out to the garden.

There's a wood-panelled study with a multitude of bookshelves, the perfect place to read in solitude and comfort.

The master bedroom is roomy and warmly lit by scones, with its own his-and-her bath, and French doors leading to a charming balcony overlooking the backyard.
