Eve Sets Up Semi-Autobiographical Interracial Comedy At ABC

Rapper/actor Eve will be joining Shonda Rhimes, Keenen Ivory Wayans, Kevin Hart, Kenya Barris and Sheldon Candis over at ABC (each of them either already has a show - or shows - on the network's lineup, or has a show - or shows - in development at the network).

ABC has partnered up with Eve on what is said to be a semi-autobiographical comedy, currently untitled, which would see Eve both executive produce and star.

Aaron Kaplan's Kaplan Entertainment will produce, with a likely 2015 season debut for the potential series, which will focus on interracial relationships (Eve is is engaged to British fashion designer Maximillion Cooper in real life, who is white; so I suppose that relationship will be fodder for the TV series, since it's "semi-autobiographical."

No stranger to the big and small screen, Eve's resume includes appearances in both Barbershop movies, xXx, and The Cookout, as well as starred in an eponymous TV series for 3 season on UPN.

ABC is certainly stacking up projects from black content creators. Let's see how many of these actually make it to series.

tbh, I'm side-eyeing the fact that the main plot point of this is the fact that they are in an interracial relationship.
