Kim Cattrall Responds to Possible 'SATC 3'
By ANTOINETTE BUENO January 08, 2014
Sex and the City fans were abuzz Tuesday when Sarah Jessica Parker hinted at another SATC film in a new interview with InStyle magazine, and now Kim Cattrall is also weighing in on her thoughts on revisiting the beloved HBO show!
But for Cattrall, who played the feisty Samantha, it's all about the "content."
"I feel the most important thing is always, do we have something left to say," Cattrall, 57, tells ET Canada. " ... I think it's about the story, if there's something more to say ... [but] I'm not a writer and I don't work in a studio."
Her comments are in reaction to Parker's recent InStyle interview, in which she teases one more SATC movie.

"A part of me thinks there is one last chapter to tell," Parker, 48, said. "But timing is a peculiar thing. It isn’t a decision that can wait forever. I don’t want to have to wear muumuus!"
And of course, the money from another film couldn't hurt, Cattrall admits.
"Yes, financially it would be fantastic -- for all of us," she says. "But I'm really about content, and where's it going to take me."
Last June, Kristin Davis (Charlotte) also told ET she was open to a third film.
"I would want to do it," Davis, 48, said. "I'm on record -- I'll be on record again -- I feel like it's the gift that keeps on giving. Our fans are beautiful and loyal and talk to me wherever I go, and in whatever country I'm in, and that means a lot to all of us. So if the situation arose where we had a script and everyone loved it, and the studio wanted to make it, I think that it would be fantastic and I hope it happens but I have no idea if it will happen."

Though the ladies may have a holdout when it comes to Cynthia Nixon, 47, who played the level-headed Miranda.
"I think we had a wonderful ride. I think it's fine to let it go," she told The Hollywood Reporter in 2012 about any more possible SATC films.

now my fav is miranda which is also weird bc i hated her when i first watched
is this maturity??
(carrie is still my least fav tho. what an asshole)
miranda, samantha, charlotte, carrie!
But yeah, as you said, it kinda varies by episode.
on my first watch i hated charlotte and loved Carrie. now i like charlotte much more, just like Samantha.
charlotte is too uptight & judgmental for my tastes (even if she has had her moments). & carrie is the elena gilbert of her own life. which makes her my least fave even though i used to adore her.

SJP wasn't a writer, but she was a producer. I always felt like she could've/should've suggested more. I don't believe there was some burning hatred between SJP and Kim Cattrall, but I think there probably was some artistic difference thing.
this is true

but, for real, it's time to let it die. it was good, it was bad, it was beautiful.
I loved it when someone asked Chris Noth the same thing and he dragged them, saying the press had made sure to let everyone know how much they had hated the last movie, how much everyone sucked now and then they wanted them to make more?
But I'd love more Samantha. I love Sam, the more I watch the show, the more I love her.
Unpopular opinion, but I love Carrie too. Bitch is fucking crazy and can't get her feelings under control but I love that about her and how unapologetic the show is about her craziness
I wouldn't like another movie just because the second one was awful.
People who hate TV Carrie must never have read the book, she's much more of an asshole in the book imo.
