Ginny Weasley and others to do Bake-Off for Sport Relief

Rochelle Humes, Jamelia and Victoria Pendleton are among the celebrities confirmed to be taking part in The Great Sport Relief Bake Off.

A total of 16 famous faces will be entering the infamous tent in the hope of impressing judges Paul Hollywood and Mary Berry.

Impressionist Alistair McGowan, singer Michael Ball and Dancing on Ice judge Jason Gardiner will also take part in the four-part BBC Two series, which will air every night from Monday, January 13 to Thursday, January 16.

Samantha Bond, Bonnie Wright, Emma Freud, Jane Horrocks, Greg Rutherford, Helen Skelton, Johnny Vaughan, Doon Mackichan, Michael Vaughan and Kirsty Young complete the lineup.

For the first time, a number of guest presenters will also step into the tent to host the series, which is in aid of Sport Relief. As well as regular presenter Sue Perkins, comedians Omid Djalili, Ed Byrne and Jo Brand are to each host one episode.

All the celebrity bakers will be put through their paces on signature, technical and showstopper bakes, and at the end of each episode the celebrity baker who rises above the rest will be crowned Sport Relief Star Baker.

Of taking part in the series, Ball said: "I would say that my baking ability is best described as a keen amateur, messy, somewhat over ambitious but getting there.

"My favourite part of the day was looking into Mary Berry's eyes as she removed a metal skewer from my hand as I was sticking into a working mixer, telling me, 'We don't want to have an accident now do we'!"

Meanwhile, former Blue Peter presenter Skelton added: "I decided to take part in The Great Sport Relief Bake Off because I'm absolutely rubbish at baking.

"All my friends and family laugh at anything I do in the kitchen, so I thought this might be a chance to redeem myself.

"I wished I'd practiced more beforehand. When they said to me, 'You've got to make a pizza', I thought they meant just put the toppings on a pizza, I didn't realise they meant make the dough and everything!"

Watching Jamelia nad Michael Ball make meringues is a thing I never knew I wanted but I AM EXCITED
