Jack White working on two albums this year.

Prolific guitarist, drummer, and music archivist Jack White has revealed that fans may soon be lining up at Third Man Records in Nashville, Tennessee for his follow-up to 2012′s Blunderbuss. In a recent chat with fans, White revealed he is currently working on two albums, one being his own.

As The Hollywood Reporter writes, White recently told fans via the Third Man Records online chatroom, “I’m producing two albums this month, and finishing them… One of them is mine.” Considering his band The Dead Weather‘s current plans to release a new album in 2015, unveilingthe album single-by-single, fans speculate that White may be referring to a new solo record.

White has also reportedly been back in the studio with supergroup The Raconteurs, known in these parts as The Saboteurs, since February of 2013, with no tell yet of any official releases. The Steady, As She Goes hit-makers unveiled their last album, Consolers of the Lonely, back in 2008.

Blunderbuss was a hit with both fans and critics upon release, reaching number one on the Billboard 200 chart, with 138,000 copies sold in its first week of release in April 2012. White’s first solo venture was also a critical success and received a Grammy Award nomination for Album of the Year.

I miss when Alison was cool. She seems like such a farce of herself now and I kinda attribute it to tdw.

Ia that he was best with Meg.

what do you mean with 'a farce of herself'?

I just want a new The Kills album tbh.
saw them live 2 years ago and it was such a great show! their onstage chemistry is amazing and Alison is one of the sexiest people I've ever seen

I've seen them 3 times and they just keep getting better. Alison just exudes this crazy sexiness and Jamie is a guitar god.

The whole "grunge chic" thing was because they were actually poor and shopped at Goodwill because that's what they could afford. TDW (and Kate for Jamie) gave them $$$ (which, I don't begrudge them for being successful) and they continued to try to maintain that vibe with cash, you know what I mean? You can't look like you shop at Goodwill when Margiela is sending you clothes. I think it's described best with the lyrics of Little Room.

oh, I totally get what you mean. the whole ~fashion shows & socialite events~ thing she seems to be doing these past few years is kinda disappointing, ia. hate to sound like your typical hipster but her/their earlier vibe sure seemed more 'genuine'. the vv & hotel personas + the whole cheap / lo-fi look and sound were a huge part of their mystique and that kinda seems to be lost now, and mostly because of what you mentioned...

I think that's more life in London and Jamie's crowd tbh but I know what you mean about her.

Nah she lived in London from like 2003-2009 which imo was the best time for The Kills. It was more Nashville and JW's crowd I think.
