'Days of our Lives' Gay Wedding For Supercouple On The Way!!

People in doctor offices, in shopping malls, in gyms, in Middle America, are all catching two guys hitting the sheets and even kissing in the shower in the daytime! Progress!

In case you missed it, Guy Wilson, (the new Will Horton come January 2014) accidentally (perhaps) tweeted a pic of himself sporting a ring obviously from the Days of our Lives set. When a Twitter follower noticed it and asked him about it, he quickly deleted it.

Pic in question:

Actress Peggy McCay (“Caroline Brady”), at a recent Days event, let it slip that a gay wedding episode had already been filmed and that she gets to make a speech in it. The very “candid” interview was deleted from Youtube once people picked up on “gay wedding episode.” Here’s what she said:

"Two young men on our show are getting married – two gay men. And we’re all celebrating," she said before being reminded by a co-star that the storyline has not yet been made public. "I shouldn’t have said anything."

Days currently films four months ahead of schedule. Freddie Smith said the following back in late November:

"I really want to take it to the next step," says Smith. "That’s where we’re all hoping that it heads."

As in seeing the two characters eventually get married?

“Yeah. They’re living together, and they love each other,” contends Smith. “I really hope the story does go in that direction; that we get married and have a same sex marriage.”

Smith believes viewers would accept the story turn.

"Absolutely," says Smith. "We’ve been getting more and more accepted."

Oh, and Freddie on Guy Wilson…

"Guy Wilson is a phenomenal actor and a really great person," notes Smith, who’s been working with him for a few months. “He’s bringing something new to the character; his own little flavor. He’s put his own little twist on [who Will] is. The character is getting older and evolving.”

I’m starting to imagine Ken Corday sending out men in black to pay visits to those who dare leak any information out about this.

A DOOL fan sent it to him.

I'm very glad they are getting married, but I am sad that the wedding episode apparently won't involve Chandler.

(Also, I haven't watched DAYS in, like, a year, because I just couldn't take the horrible storylines anymore.)
spoondamnit 20th-Dec-2013 12:19 am (UTC)
The storylines this year have been great! The current one with Sami, Kate, and Gabi killing Nick is hilarious.

Yep. Dumped his body in the river, which was hilarious because just as they were dumping it, he sprung to life. They shoved him down so the current would kill him and take him away. It all started when Gabi found out that Nick was orchestrating her move to NYC to do modeling. He let it out that she had to go because they would become a family. She raced off in a secluded area and he tried to rape her. She got a rock and knocked him upside the head with it. Kate and Sami found her and tried to dump the evidence.

There was this really weird old British bird watcher in the vicinity. He keeps showing up asking them what they were doing there that night. Sami told them that they were trying to spot some bird which turned out to be the name of a dinosaur that her son was into.

Sami and Kate are taking so many cracks at each other through it, it's hysterical.

Will thinks all three are planning a surprise birthday party for them, which is why they keep hanging out with one another. Sonny hides in the closet (yes, they make jokes about it) to hear what they're planning. He hears them discussing killing Nick. He tries to get out of the closet and out of the apartment. It's hilarious with him trying to hide behind things. It's like watching an "I Love Lucy" episode. He ends up jumping out the window.

Ciara's got Sami's earring that was left at the scene of the crime. Ciara, the little brat that she is, won't give it back. Sami gets in a fight with her with both screaming (and grabbing) over Ciara's backpack, which Sami knows the earring is in. She's getting into a physical fight with a ten year old!

All the critics named DOOL as the most entertaining show of 2013. From the baby-napping cause Will was gay, to all of Kristen DiMera's schemes, to doctors stripping, etc, etc. The show hasn't been this good in years. They dragged some stuff out, but it was worth it, especially when it came to Kristen's wedding disaster with the video of her screwing the priest, the same priest who was presiding over the ceremony, being played in front of everyone in the church. These new writers are great with one-liners. I love all the gay sex in the show too. Jennifer and Daniel are the most hated couple on the show. They need to get rid of them STAT!

Kristen to Hope: "Merry Christmas... bitch."

HA! So they are actually SHOWING gay sex? It's not like ATWT, where Noah and Luke got one no-sex sex scene (after two years), and were then celibate? (And then Luke and Reid didn't get ANY at all?) Sonny and Will actually kiss and have pillow time?
spoondamnit 20th-Dec-2013 01:13 am (UTC)

This was the latest. Will had been away for a month. They have a bit of make-up sex.

The wedding:

Did you see Marlena and Kristen final face-off a few weeks ago?

i really love will & sonny, and i'm scared i'm going to hate this recast :(
spoondamnit 20th-Dec-2013 12:20 am (UTC)
Guy's cool, he can act, and his body is to die for!!!
kdvn 20th-Dec-2013 02:07 am (UTC)
Too bad about his face.

Has nuWill started airing, yet?

I need to watch Chandler's final eps live because I care too much about that guy.
spoondamnit 20th-Dec-2013 12:20 am (UTC)
Chandler's last airing is Dec. 30 or 31st.
mushroomnoomi 19th-Dec-2013 11:58 pm (UTC)
Where are the clips/gifs of the couple in question?
realblast3 20th-Dec-2013 12:06 am (UTC)
I mean, of course it's wonderful on the face of it but no Chandler Massey No Care. I know he was leaving anyway but the bastards still abruptly fired him before he had planned on leaving and for waht? To hire THIS recast?!? I mean, ew. At least Massey got his 2 Emmys for his coming out episodes' brilliance which straddled 2 years of material.
spoondamnit 20th-Dec-2013 12:21 am (UTC)
Massey had no chemistry with Smith. All Massey did was smirk his entire run.
realblast3 20th-Dec-2013 12:23 am (UTC)
Well, considering they became soaps's first male supercouple, I'd say that plenty of fans do think they have chemistry.
spoondamnit 20th-Dec-2013 12:33 am (UTC)
They don't. They like them separately, and they love having a gay couple on the show. That hasn't stopped the two years of complaining that they just don't work well together. Chandler Massey hung out with everyone on the set except Freddie. They didn't get close. No one knows why, but something did go on there. As for Guy Wilson, he's gotten close to everyone off set. He and Freddie Smith are together all the time, and the audition went so well that Guy was cast on the spot. They're said to have amazing chemistry. Guy Wilson's already played a gay character before too.

Er, you've already stated your opinion once. Stating it twice doesn't make it a fact.
spoondamnit 20th-Dec-2013 12:48 am (UTC)
It's the general consensus. Visit the many Days message boards.
northsnap 20th-Dec-2013 02:36 am (UTC)
I was sad when Chandler announced he was leaving since he did such a great job with Will's coming out story, but the more I thought about Guy Wilson replacing him the more I agree with (and noticed) the consensus: Chandler and Freddie didn't have much chemistry.

I'm excited to watch Guy take over for Chandler since these last few weeks/months have been a snore to watch him phone it in.
laurondo 20th-Dec-2013 06:22 am (UTC)
They didn't have any chemistry, at least not sexual chemistry. That's mostly why I could never take them seriously as a couple. Maybe Guy'll change that.
laurondo 20th-Dec-2013 06:20 am (UTC)
Do you mean DOOL's first same sex supercouple? Because if it's just soaps like you said then that title goes to Luke and Noah from ATWT...
windyourneckin 20th-Dec-2013 12:11 am (UTC)
nuWill is a qt
setsuna16 20th-Dec-2013 12:28 am (UTC)
