Aaron Taylor-Johnson Won’t Be Playing Christian Grey In His Wife’s Movie Adaptation

Aaron Taylor-Johnson will once again be hitting the big screen as Kick Ass in the sequel to the 2010 movie, but the star admits he has no desire to play the part of Christian Grey in the much talked about film version of the mummy porn novel.

Despite the fact that his wife, director Sam Taylor-Wood, is set to direct Fifty Shades Aaron says that at 23 he’s too young to play the 27-year-old Christian, the kinky millionaire who seduces the books heroin Anastasia Steele.

He also modestly tells The Metro: “I am not Christian Grey. I mean, he is supposed to be the most gorgeous man on the f***ing planet!

Speculation was rife, as it was on a film set that Aaron and Sam first met. They controversially started a relationship after Aaron, 19 at the time, was cast as John Lennon in Sam’s directorial debut Nowhere Boy.

23 years his junior, Aaron married Sam in 2012 and the couple have two children together, as well as Sam’s two children from her first marriage.

He also talks about what initially attracted him to the role as Kick–Ass, after being thought of as a dreamboat following his role as high school hunk Robbie in Angus, Thongs and Perfect Snogging.

“It was the first time I was introduced to the world of press and it was a f***ing shock. I was like, hang on, I’m not comfortable with this image. I went after Kick-Ass next so I could play the total opposite: this average, wacky-haired spotty guy with dorky trainers.”

“It was refreshing because there is no vanity involved. I don’t care about looking good. It’s not about that. It’s about being raw and real,” insists the actor.
