Hugh Jackman Fears Heart Attack from Terrible ‘Wolverine’ Diet

Actor Hugh Jackman knows that his 6,000 calorie a day diet for “Wolverine” isn’t doing his body any favors. In fact, he’s downright worried it will eventually cause him to have a heart attack.

In an interview with The Daily Mail Jackman says, “I have to eat a dozen eggs every day.” On days when he changes things up, he eats chicken. He then admits, “I worry I’ll have a heart attack.”

The star, who recently said he’s going to go vegan after all this is done to make up for all the suffering he’s caused to animals through his diet, might also want to consider veganism for his own health. Like Bill Clinton, who actually did have heart problems after years of too many burgers, Jackman could significantly improve his health by ditching meat and dairy.

A 2012 study actually showed that eating eggs can be almost as devastating to the body as smoking. In fact, the study found that ”people who eat egg yolks regularly have about 2/3 as much plaque buildup as smokers.” And Jackman is eating the whole dozen!

While we love the ‘Wolverine’ franchise, maybe it’s time for Jackman to hang up his adamantium claws and opt for more roles like Jean Valjean. For himself and for animals.
