It's making fun of how you can get the newest phone but then 6 months later there's a newer version of it. He got the 7 but by 6 months his friend had an 8 of the same phone.

I switched to T-Mobile from AT&T a couple of weeks ago because AT&T pissed me off too much and made everything difficult unless it involved you losing money, then they would make it easy as pie.

I love these commercials. The Charge one was literally my life before I switched carriers and upgraded.

I really didn't hate AT&T until my phone stopped being able to text randomly and even though it was less than a year old and still under warranty they told me I had to wait 7-10 days while they "investigated the problem" to be sure that I really needed a replacement phone.

I told them I was going to leave them when my contract was up but they didn't even care, but then when I told them I deserved to have my texting bill refunded since I paid for unlimited and they were limiting me they suddenly agreed to do whatever I asked.

I still switched at the end of my contract.

An extra 10$ is added for TMO users who opt in, but you have had to been in the program for six months, but it just started within the last two weeks.

It's a great idea, but since I can't get an HTC One next month. & T-Mobile coverage is godawful around here.
melissa_ivory 17th-Jul-2013 02:05 am (UTC)
I thought you just had to be a T-Mobile customer for a minimum of 6mo. to opt in...?
daniellasaur_xo 17th-Jul-2013 02:52 am (UTC)
Nope, it's available to anyone upgrading/signing up going forward, but you have to be enrolled for 6 mo. before you can take advantage and trade in. After that, you can do it twice per year at any time.

Edit: At least that's how my manager explained it to us.

I had to rewind when I saw the bus stop on during Siberia last night, cause I watch Under The Dome while the other records, and it just threw me for a minute... "Hader does commercials now?" said I... but these are cute nonetheless. Also, although it only has 1GB internal memory, I am in love with my Huawei T-Mobile myTouch. Eventually I'm going to upgrade to a Samsung, but for now, this one works brilliantly.

IDK how these phone plans work in the US but imo there is no such thing as a "free phone". You're going to pay for it somehow, and I really don't see why the average phone wouldn't be able to last for 2 years. I never do plans anymore; I just buy phones separately and get a sim only plan that I can cancel every month. I got a new Galaxy S2 just last month for 200€; before that I had a HTC Desire that lasted 2.5 years and is still working - I wouldn't even have gotten a new phone if it wasn't for the perpetually decreasing amount of internal memory. I just think it's such a waste of money to get the latest phone every 6 months.
