'Arrow' Stephen Amell confirms '50 Shades of Grey' talks

Stephen Amell has confirmed that he has been in talks about appearing in the upcoming Fifty Shades of Grey movie.
The Arrow star explained that he has had a meeting about taking on the lead role of Christian Grey in the film, which will be based on the erotic novel by EL James.
Speaking in a video posted on his Facebook page, Amell said: "I get questions about Christian Grey all the time. That project is a long way off. I know this, because I had a meeting about it."
Amell then went on to tease his fans, saying: "A long way off. I mean, not that long, but not close. I wouldn't call it long, but I wouldn't call it close."
Speculation about who could play Christian Grey has been circulating ever since a movie adaptation was announced, with stars such as Henry Cavill, Ian Somerhalder and Jake Gyllenhaal among the rumoured candidates.
But, at least if it's him it's not my Bomer.
This is such B-flick material. It's that movie that you'd mistakenly pick up at Blockbuster because the cover imagery looks so similar to the actual movie you were looking for and you just grab it because you're too lazy to look any harder.
Then you get home and SURPRISE and you make a night of it anyway because it's been a long week and you need to heckle and snark at something.
BUT NO ONE ACTUALLY LIKES OR RESPECTS THAT SHIT.
So was Twilight. :S And like Twilight, it has a massive fandom. This shit is going to do much better than it deserves to. And will likely be a major hit, leading to the rest of the books being made into movies. Just like with Twilight.
And dude will probably be a star over night, just like Rpattz. Which is no doubt why he's in talks for this role.

also: big fuck you to EL James for blocking domestic abuse victims on twitter. classy asshole author of a POS.
1) Addressing these concerns respectfully
2) Addressing her audience as a whole about that interpretation
3) Perhaps use this interpretation to bring public attention to the slippery slope that relationship violence can slide into
4) Emphasize that her books are fantasy, not a barometer for IRL relationships...
she just blocks them. I saw some of the tweets that were sent her way from the one survivor, it was very respectful. At that point James' actions were malicious.
But she didn't. She's so up her ass about her (very shitty, have you read the first? I'm no writing saint, but its bad.) writing that she will act like the world's biggest asshole for it.
I didn't hate her when she published these books. Shit, if I could become a millionaire off shitty writing, I'd do it. But this cinched the deal, and she can go fuck herself.
What an ego this woman has.
I hate how unhealthy the relationship is and how many people wet their panties over it. Especially considering all the underage girls who read thinking that Christian's behavior is OK. My youngest sister is 14 with friends who have read and love the book. I got really lucky she doesn't like it and she's told them how terrible it is. I really wish young girls could learn about sexuality in a positive light where it's something that doesn't have to demean them or make them an object.
