American Eagle “Skinny Skinny” Jeans Are Their Skinniest Yet…Because They’re Spray-On

Currently for sale on American Eagle’s website are “Skinny Skinny” jeans — the brand’s skinniest jeans ever created. Sounds cool, right? Well, the catch is that these jeans aren’t jeans. They’re cans of spray paint that come in two colors, Indigo and Bright Light, and are part of a 1,000 piece limited edition run. A quick visit to the product’s page reveals an image of the two cans side by side, either color option selling for $49.95. The “new!” and “exclusive” product is further promoted by a video, which might be slightly NSFW, where happy wearers of the “pants” hail them as the skinniest they’ve ever worn. Umm…no, duh.

So what do we call this? A brilliant marketing gimmick? A sick reflection on how tight people like their pants? You tell me.

lmao the douches who lived on my dorm's floor last year were always talking shit about the "sloppy" girls who wore sweatpants to class...meanwhile their dumb asses were wearing muscle t's, gym shorts, and sneakers 24/7.

like duh don't you know girls are supposed to be put together and sexy all the time, while guys can dress a comfortably as they want no matter how stupid and douchey they look?

I don't wear sweatpants in public but I can get the fuck down to never wearing pants ever. I have one pair of high waisted pants I like and that's it, other wise, skirts, dresses, and tights all year or bust.

I don't like how boot cut and straight cut make legs look like tree trunks though. It's not cute when the leg is the same width from top to bottom unless you're skinny and 5'10"+. Skinny jeans are cutest and the ones that stop right around the ankle are ok in spring.

idk, i used to not like them, but they look a lot more sophisticated than boot cut or straight leg imo (unless you're rail model thin). plus, you have to wear them with boots.

I like bootcut. I have muscular legs, so bootcut is super flattering. I know a lot of people say that skinny is the only type that is flattering on them but honestly... I have seen very few people IRL who looked good in skinny jeans.
