ugh i know, i hate that shit. it's like a race discussion with deaf people and hearing people in place of black and white people. the poor hearing people are soooooo discriminated against and can't possibly comprehend why a deaf person might be the least bit angry and not want to have to deal with hearing people 24/7, and why a safe haven like a school for deaf people only is a good thing for their sanity. fuck.
Exactly! That's where I think this over identification with Bay is coming from...oh noes, the mean deaf people are excluding me! It's not that I agree with Melody, Travis etc' behavior towards some hearing people, but their attitude is COMPLETELY understandable. Their haven has been invaded, they're basically having to slow down their signing to accommodate Bay and company and being told by the governmenet that they're not valued by the community.
But nooo, at TWOP there are condescending sneers about them deaf people needing to grow up and live in the real world.
I remember in season 1 Bay broke down and told Emmett and Daphne that they were "lording being hearing" over her because she felt left out, and everyone at TWOP cheering her for her overprivileged rant.
I think it's backtracking from the progress the girls made in the first season, but Daphne doesn't HAVE to see Bay as a sister, love her cherish her, etc. Respect her, definitely, because this boyfriend sharing shit is ridiculous, but Daphne isn't the one who uncovered this switch hoping for a new set of parents.

I got so pissed when Bay pulled out the 'I convinced my parents to let you move into the house' card when she was mad Daphne didn't stand up for her when they were arguing about whether or not to let the pilot program kids stay.
are we supposed to care that ty is back? he was in like 5 episodes and they never mentioned him again. plus, i only see him as that asshole ethan now...
i liked ty so it's cool he's coming back and all, but i'm not gonna be here for the fandom getting mad at bay for flirting with him and not jumping back on emmett's dick. ~_~ and emmett's line to bay in this past episode about not waiting around was annoying. i misguidedly like bemmett but he's kind of a giant asshole 80% of the time.
also i'm getting really tired of the regina and bay neglect, lol. i genuinely can't tell if it's a conscious decision to make them so distant, but they don't even get like, a brief goodbye as she leaves for rehab? the only brief bonding they've had is off-screen, like the time they did ~art together.
