The Following for Entertainment Weekly (featuring Ryan Hardy and actual fanboy Mike Weston)

Last week Entertainment Weekly asked me to head out to the Brooklyn Navy Yards to where they film the new hit FOX TV show The Following to shoot some portraits of Kevin Bacon and Shawn Ashmore. It was a very cold and windy day and the guys had just wrapped a pretty intense interrogation scene involving some eye gouging, pipe hitting and suspect stomping, which is harder work than it sounds, but they were both good sports throughout our very cold shoot. Here are some shots that didn’t make it into the story that ran in todays issue as well as some behind the scenes pics from while they were filming. Thank you to Ahmed Fakhr at EW and Joanna Wolff at FOX for making it all happen. I am now officially only 1 degree away from Kevin Bacon.

Okay but in my defence I had no reason to question why one guy was referred to by two different names until I started watching The Following and got interested in the cast.

It is very difficult to keep up with all the TV actors that are out there, don't judge meeee!!!

I've been clarifying who is who and that there is in fact two of them in this community for seven years damn it! :-X

I looked up the first post I did about them and it was in 2006.

LOL aw, that sounds really annoying.
Well now that the show is a hit maybe more pple will pay attention.
I wonder why they both decided to pursue acting. They both seem to enjoy similar roles too and have a similar career altho Shawn appears to be slightly more successful.

My friend thinks Shawn was Jimmy Olsen on Smallville. I had to explain to her a dozen times that yes, Shawn appeared on the show, but not as Jimmy Olsen, that is Aaron, his twin brother, Shawn played a different character. I still think she doesn't get it tho.

As a twin, I'm usually offended when I hear people making this mistake, but not when it's as innocent and lolzy as here ;)

plus, I realize I probably take some of this shit too personally lol

It was a pretty weird mistake I'll admit
Idk why I was like "People call him Shawn and Aaron? That's odd" and then thought nothing of it after that.

It must be annoying being a twin when that happens lol but I guess it's coz you want to be seen as an individual and people don't always do that with twins.

It's true, people usually have a hard time believing twins are individuals like any other. I guess it's easier to assume that a situation that is different or weird to most people is definitive of the person/people in those situations. When in reality, most twins don't fulfill those weird stereotypes like ~psychic connections~ and ~twin language~ (WTF is that even?! Someone explain to me. Because for all the times I've been asked about it, I've just had to hold back wtfing LOL).. all that stuff is bs.
