The only gay characters are Kurt, Santana and Blaine. Quinn had a hook-up with Santana. I sincerely doubt she identifies as gay and Brittany is bi-sexual. Sam is not gay or bi-sexual. The promo is meant to be misleading. RM has stated repeatedly that Sam and Blaine are just friends. Also, for all the gay characters as you say, the show still focuses far more on the straight couples.
