First things first: If you haven't already checked out the super compelling teaser for Sofia Coppola's upcoming flick The Bling Ring, go do that right this second. Done? Good - now that you've gotten an eyeful of Hermione Granger Emma Watson working a stripper pole, check out these brand new behind-the-scenes pics of the cast plus Paris Hilton that just hit the web. Who else is wondering if those pillows actually belong to Hilton? The photos also feature This is 40 star Leslie Mann, who plays the mother of Watson and Taissa Farmiga's characters - someone Coppola describes as "that Mom who thinks her kids are beautiful and obviously should be stars...Hollywood attracts a lot of people like that," - and Bush frontman Gavin Rossdale, who portrays a LA club promoter.
The film focuses on Watson and Farmiga's characters, two adopted sisters who, along with a group of other teens, manage to burglarize a string of homes belonging to stars like Hilton, Lindsay Lohan, and Rachel Bilson. As Farmiga puts it: "...they wanted anything that’d been touched by a celebrity or worn by a celebrity or hung in a celebrity’s closet. They were lost, they didn’t have the best parents and tabloids were telling the how great it is to be famous and have money and no boundaries."
The story surrounds the same real-life events that took place in 2008, and is heavily based on the article "The Suspects Wore Louboutins" by Nancy Jo Sales, about the group of teens - who were nicknamed the "Bling Ring" - that ran in Vanity Fair after they were apprehended by police. Fun fact: It's the same article that Bling Ring participant Alexis Neiers totally freaked out about during her short-lived E! reality series, Pretty Wild.

i kind of miss it
I partially wonder if a lot of had to do with it being pre-recession. I feel like theres a doom-and-gloom energy cloud over our world now. Hate it.
It was during the time with all those love-to-hate shows like "Rich Girls." People just loved showing how well-off they were and the olsen twins dressed like dumpster divers.
What a fun time for ONTD!
She already fucked up Marie Antoinette. (I did love all the pretty)
She is great at understanding the enui of the celebrity lifestyle and showing it to her audience if she can pull of the other side of the fence (the lives of people who want to be celebrities but aren't) then she will be expanding her abilities, of only a little.
I really loved Marie Antoinette but it did kind of lose something since while Royalty is the original celebrity it isn't really the same. Also it didn't really examine Marie's own missteps in her downfall.
this girl absolutely deserved a reality show.
Oh god, remember when she freaked out the shoes? "MOM I WASNT WEARING blah blah! I WAS WEARING blah blah FLATS!" Oh man, good times.
I can;t.
I have never watched that show and yet somehow that line in seared in memory
She's lovely though.
Many audience members probably won't even realize the character isn't supposed to be white unless it's written in the script.
you sound pressed, whatever, her movies are always so gorgeous & will continue to be
...shame that Tess is still using and stopped speaking to Alexis b/c she took rehab and sobriety seriously.
I was curious about what happened to these girls...
but if you mean about Alexis just being somebody who got caught up, the proof is in the turn around. Once she got off the drugs, she became really nice and quickly got a normal happy life.
Also heard Tess is now an escort
