But Hershel said that if she came with them, it'll be the end of it meaning the war would automatically start. At least they have a little time to prepare now.

I hope that scene from the previews isn't Tyreese ratting out Andrea to the Governor. I want him to realize that the Governor is crazy and not be an ally for him. And I hope that Rick doesn't give up Michonne. Come on Rick, don't punk out.

Doesn't matter, it'll be soul crushingly depressing. The Walking Dead is pretty easily the most depressing comic ever made. I know people who have stopped reading it just because it ruins they day.
After they way they killed off Lori in the show I'm really not expecting anything near what happened in the comics. Pretty much everything shocking or fucked up from the comics has been diluted; they couldn't even have Carl kill Shane unless Shane was a zombie.
They don't really follow the comics though. A ton of the worst stuff from the comics hasn't happened, there are characters that exist on the show that don't on the comics and characters who do in the comics who don't exist on the show. People who didn't die the way they did in the comics, etc.
They're really only alike in name and general concept.
I've read the comics, too. C'mon now, the show isn't nearly as depressing as the comics. All of the very worst stuff (Judith getting shot and being left to turn w/ Lori, Michonne's rape) aren't happening.
