Taylor Swift says she's a big fan of Diet Coke – in fact she's a little obsessed -- and the synergy gods must've been listening, because the Grammy winner has teamed up with the beverage company for a long-term partnership, including the Stay Extraordinary campaign and her first-ever Diet Coke commercial, shot in Nashville.
"If you would ask all my friends and probably most of my fans what would make the most sense -- what is Taylor obsessed with as far as a product to partner with and a company to partner with? -- they would say Diet Coke, because it's a big part of my life," muses Taylor. "I'm a big Diet Coke fan. … It's really a good thing."
The seven-time Grammy winner will serve as a program ambassador for the Diet Coke, and her new commercial, entitled Music That Moves, features her new single 22 and centers around her unique approach to songwriting and the powerful impact her music and lyrics have on fans.
"I think one of my favorite things about the RED tour is that one of the main focuses I had was incorporating the element of surprise, and incorporating the unexpected," she says. "I really like to think that a good concert can be like a good book; it can take you away, it can take you to a different place and help you escape, and I think that's the main goal for me -- helping the fans to escape, if only just for one night."
On March 13, Taylor will debut a video series featuring lots of behind-the-scenes content of her tour, music videos and more on Diet Coke's Facebook page. Just click "like"! Taylor's new Music That Moves spot is scheduled to debut in April.
