Memories of my dad always make me smile... I basically immediately start crying too though because I miss him more than anyone else in the world. Who else has lost a parent young (under 30)?
4. Vomit... My eating issues are getting to be an issue.
Something that never fails to make me smile is my cat, whether its a picture or when I go to see her at my mums place or even my mum telling me something random about her when she calls. We got here 3 days after I moved to Australia when I was 10, I'm 25 this year and she has just been the most amazing addition to my life. I honestly don't know what I'll do when she passes.
For the second Friday in a row, my answer will be vomit again :| I was on the bus half an hour ago and there was a funky smell that was floating about and made me sick.
Recently I came across the Hyperbole and a Half blog and the stories on there have been cracking me up.
Thinking of the weird things my now 5 year-old cousin says when I babysit her :') Like the time I gave her a bath and she was crying because it was so cold in their apartment (this might have been when she was 3 or 4, I forget) and she then asked if I could blow dry her hair, so I said okay and told her to let me know if it's too hot on her scalp, so she put her hands on the radiator in their bathroom (facing the wall) and I was blow drying her hair and she threw her head back, closed her eyes, and shook her head like she was dancing in the 1970s lmaoooo.
Or like the time she kept trying to convince me that I should cut the sleeves off her long-sleeved (winter) dress to wear in the summertime when I was going to take her for ice cream and I was like "Um... no..." and she went "No, it's okay! Mummy did it with jeans!" and I have such a hard time explaining to her why it wouldn't work because the materials were different (stretch velour vs denim) and how I didn't think her mum would appreciate coming home and finding out we'd cut up a nice dress to wear and she was like "No, no, it's okay! It's okay!" like I was the kid and she was the reassuring adult and omg it was too cute and ridiculous. DID I MENTION SHE WAS ON THE TOILET WHILE THIS CONVERSATION TOOK PLACE? LOL.
And then there was the time when I let my hair air dry so it was curly and I went to babysit and she'd never seen me without straight hair before, so she was eyeing me all suspicious and I went "Haha, what?" and she went "You sound like Meaghan... but you don't look like Meaghan........." LOL.
And memory of Eric Cartman said, "My mama's so poor she walked around barefoot until she found a shoe lying in the ground. When people stop her to ask if she lost a shoe, she goes, "No I found one." And the voice he uses makes me laugh my ass off.
Fart. I've been doing that non-stop lately. A small guy's laugh that was a a weird high-pitched garbling shriek, which would set me laughing in my weird Marge hyena gasping way, which would make him laugh even more and the cycle continues.

Hey, ONTD. So I'm in a really shitty situation right now. I hate my father ever since I can remember (like wishing he'd die hate) and I'm 22 and getting fed up of being unstable and feeling suicidal because of him. Not only has he been a shitty father, he's emotionally abusive towards my mother. Things started getting shitty when I was about to go to college, so my mother didn't divorce him because she needed to support me and my brother somehow. Until this day, she's still with him and he still does whatever the fuck he wants. I suspect he's cheating on her all the time and hearing him treat her like shit really leaves me in a bad place. In a suicidal place. The thing is, I'm moving to another college next year and starting fresh, and I feel like the only way I'd ever be normal was if I got away from them and their shitty relationship. At the same time, I love my mother more than anyone else and being supported by her while being away would just make me feel like shit. Idk what to do. Have you ever cut ties with your family or have your parents stayed in a marriage because of you?
Wow. I feel so bad for you- I've never been in this situation, per se, but I know my little sister HATES my mother and goes through a lot of this towards her (but her dad went MIA so, she's stuck with one shitty parent and no good ones) and so I'll tell you what I tell her: Work hard, stay focused, and someday you'll be in charge of your own destiny and will never have to talk to her again if you choose (I chose not to talk to her when I turned 18, but as I grew up, and especially once my dad died, I felt a lot different towards her and now we're ok, but she still lives 3500 miles away).
In your case, I'd also say the best thing to do, is to do well, and then someday you might find yourself in the position to help your mom get out of hers.
omg this sounds like my life on repeat. Cept my mother became an alcoholic because of his poor treatment and my two little brothers suffered.
But I realized it was her decision to stay with the bastard so there wasn't much I could do. This was my stepdad. Although I feel the same way you do about my "real" dad.
Now things are great though. She got her second divorce and he is gone from the situation and she seems much happier. I moved back home with her because of my health issues I'm not able to support myself because I can only work a certain amt of hours.
But anyways I don't know what my point is I'm just trying to relate to you and tell you it does get better!!!
I'm sorry you are dealing with this. I think you going to a new college and starting fresh is a good idea. Have you had a conversation with your mom about why she stays with him? She may feel like it's too late and she doesn't want to start over. Everyone gets something out of a relationship, otherwise they would leave. She might feel that financially she can't leave, or maybe she is nervous to be on her own. I would focus on yourself and what qualities you want in a partner. I wish you luck. Try not to be upset with your mom for staying. I'm sure she has her reasons.
I've never had to ASK for a raise because we had annual self evaluations and although technically we were allowed to write whatever we wanted on them I was very blunt about how dedicated I was to my work. I think being straight forward is the best. Don't try to make it a suck up thing coz I know ppl do that but if you work for corporate it doesn't work that way (other industries too prolly).
yeah my eval isn't until July. i could technically wait but right now i feel like i've taken on so much extra work after someone else left our office that i don't want to hold off. i suppose now is the time to start putting together my accomplishments and everything. i'll make myself look incredible on paper.

Probably when I was "drowning" in my dream, and I was in the middle of the ocean trying to float on some sort of camping air mattress. The sky was red(it looked like it was the end of the world) I fell off the mattress and started drowning.
My sister shook me, and I woke me up. She said my face was getting pale, and I was trying to hold my breath. Thank God you can't die by holding your breath.
That was a looong time ago. I was a kid at the time.
Probably that time I dreamed 28 Days/Weeks Later was real and I was running down my street to an empty car and the infected were coming and I eventually got the door open and ran inside just as they got to me and omg I actually woke up with my heart racing like I'd actually been running.
And then there are all the nightmares I've had about giant insects or swarms of spiders... Like once I was in the girls' bathroom at my middle school (idk why?) and the floor was COVERED in swarms of creepy crawlies and the floor started to SINK until i was up to my neck and the bugs were getting bigger and bigger.. holy fuck. And recently I had one where I was visiting my dad's father (he passed away years ago so this was really random) but his "nursing home" was like a room in one of those trains you can sleep in? anyway so my mom was talking to the "nurse" and i was standing there and the closet was open and there was this MASSIVE centipede thing just crawling in and out of the sleeves in my granddad's clothes and I kept trying to tell someone but they'd brush me off or call me crazy but omg it was SERIOUSLY HUGE.
I always have the same nightmare where I'm driving really fast (like 90 or above) and I'm scared and want to stop, but the brakes don't work. However, I never hit anything. It's quite strange.
