Anthony Head to Co-Star in CW's 'The Selection'



He'll play King Clarkson in the network's retooled "Hunger Games"-esque pilot.

Buffy the Vampire Slayer alum Anthony Head has been tapped to play royalty on the network's retooled drama pilot The Selection, The Hollywood Reporter has learned exclusively.

Another show on the CW that's based on a book?

Since the Vampire Diaries is different than the books, this show could be as well (I have not read the books). I might give it a shot.

Well Merlin did enough episodes with Uther trying to make Arthur marry someone that at least Anthony's gotten a lot of practice with such a scenario! Sigh. He's so great, and I'd love to see him in another show, but given everything I've heard about the book, unless this opts for the Legend of the Seeker route I'm just not interested.

He's comes into where I work quite he is always so lovely and sometimes brings his mum. I haven't seen him for a while though. I was so star struck the first time he casually walked in.
