Trent Reznor Calls Fan the C-Word During Reddit Q&A

Trent Reznor

When you're directly interacting with Nine Inch Nails frontman Trent Reznor—a man who once intoned he'd like to "f-ck you like an animal"—you should probably leave your easily offended sensibilities at the door.

The latest proof: In response to an implicitly insulting question from a fan on a Reddit IAmA, Reznor told the user to eff off and dropped the c-word on him. Clearly, The Fragile is just an album title for Trent.

The gist of the lengthy question was, "As millionaires, why did you sign up with a record label to promote your new album?" The Reddit user also bemoaned that "Trent conveniently places a spotlight on his former cash cow [Nine Inch Nails] a few days before your band [How to Destroy Angels] releases this new album" and compared Reznor to noted self-promoter Gene Simmons of Kiss.

The Academy Award winner's response? "Sorry, the wifi on our yacht is having issues, we can't get your full question to load," Reznor wrote. "Try sending me an email at gof-ckyourself@youc-nt.com."

While using the c-word wasn't necessary, you gotta appreciate the vulgar candor Reznor uses to dismiss criticisms masquerading as questions. Maybe he should rename his side project How to Destroy Trolls.

Trent is not hft Troll

it's good promotion? No really, Louis C.K made millions from his stand up special after doing his AMA. there was an author I can't remember whose book shot up to amazon's #1 overnight after doing an AMA. Cards Against Humanity, the game, sold out completely (8 weeks of inventory) after the creators did theirs.
