Kim Wayans has joined the cast of CBS’ drama pilot Reckless, which will be directed by Catherine Hardwicke, from a script penned by Dana Stevens.
Set in Charleston, South Carolina, Reckless centers on a beautiful big city litigator and a Southern attorney who struggle to hide their intense attraction to one another, while also professionally battling over a police sex scandal.
Ms Wayans will play a character named Vi, who is paralegal to our litigator from New York (the role hasn't been cast yet).
Cam Gigandet will play the Southern attorney.
Wayans was last seen on the big screen in Pariah, and on the small screen in an episode of Criminal Minds.

Brit actress Lenora Crichlow continues to push her way into mainstream American consciousness, as she's joins the cast of an ABC pilot from the Cullen Brothers.
The star of BBC Three's critically-acclaimed supernatural drama series Being Human currently in its final season) has booked a role in the untitled Cullen Brothers comedy which centers on "Terry Gannon (Maggie Lawson), a recently divorced single mother who temporarily moves in with her estranged father (James Caan), a beer-swilling former baseball player."
Crichlow will play a character named Gigi, described as a mom whose son tries out for Little League with Terry’s son.
Deadline states that Crichlow is getting a lot of looks for various pilots here in the USA, so there might be more casting announcements coming.

I just noticed that the Reckless pilot is lead by women. Shame nothing about it appeals to me.

Also, Catherine Hardwicke is directing TV stuff now? I don't know if that's a commentary on how brutal it is in the film industry for women directors or a statement on the shift towards TV as a superior story telling format.
I'll probably catch up to watch the end tho, like a good fan.
