Barrowman (*Shakes Fist* ™) reveals he's involved in the 50th anniversary special!!!

John Barrowman, (Captain Jack Harkness in Doctor Who and Torchwood), was interviewed on the ITV1 "show" This Morning earlier today - He mostly talks about Arrow but in the end he reveals something about Doctor Who's big 50!

I'm really worried it will be. And no huge surprise at Moffat making sure to include his own character, Jack, but none of RTD's amazing, well-developed, wonderful female characters.

I find his poor acting actively charming. Maybe because he looks like such a beautiful wax figure. But he is the single most charming person I've ever seen.

I finally realized why she bugs me. Because like Amy and Madame de Pompadour and probably now Clara, Moffat's female characters all live for the Doctor. He's their childhood imaginary friend (a story idea he's used twice now), their entire reason for life (River) and then whatever he's going to be for Clara.

Moffat cannot conceive of a woman who does not live in the shadow of the Doctor.

So he writes River all sassy and tough, but she isn't a real person. She's a plot point.
