The TLC reality show Here Comes Honey Boo Boo is capturing the attention of audiences worldwide. The show recently premiered in Belgium, Netherlands, and Luxembourg in January. It also premiered across Asia-Pacific on Jan. 31 and in Poland on Feb. 13. Upcoming premieres are scheduled for Italy, Sweden and across Latin America in March.
The star of the show, Alana Thompson, began her rocket ride to stardom when she appeared on the fifth season premiere of Toddlers & Tiaras. The network TLC decided to give Honey Boo Boo and her entire family their very own show. The show was so popular that about 2.2 million viewers tuned in for the series premiere on Aug. 8.
The Thompson family lives in McIntyre, GA, which has a population of 650 people. Even with the fame, the family plans to live in the same house and Alana is still attending the same school. Mother June Shannon explained that it's important to keep the family grounded, even though they are getting recognized worldwide.
According to Honey Boo Boo's Facebook fan page, her latest business venture has been supporting the sale of Girl Scout cookies in her community. According to a Facebook post on Tuesday, the cookies are $3.50 + shipping. All boxes are autographed by the family and include autograph family photo.

They made Alana (honey boo boo) take down her fb campaign selling cookies for the community. Hoping they had a decent reason...
It's a nice idea to use facebook to help sell boxes, but tbh, I would rather buy from my local troop, just because.
I don't think we are working with the same sense/scale of propriety.

That sound shitty though but they pressure those little girls way too much and to us, that is disgusting. I can image why people would make fun of them
GO 'MURICA!!!
My troop just had some catty bitches. lol.
I did love going up to the snow and camping on the beach (I'm from Southern California so all these things are easy to do) and a few other things like the cookies.
But yeah...I'm really glad it was important to my mom that I be a daisy and then a brownie, at least for four or five years, and I'm going to be very happy to put any future daughter(s) I have in their organization.
Ok...
You'd have to be pretty ignorant yourself to think that every American is like that, tho.
i just caught the holiday specials where pumpkin (i think) gets hit in the eye with his keys. :(
