Chyler Leigh cast in NBC comedy pilot about group of plane crash survivors

Chyler Leigh has landed her first major TV gig since checking out of Grey’s Anatomy last May, scoring one of the lead roles in NBC’s comedy pilot Holding Patterns.

From Office scribe Justin Spitzer, Holding Patterns is a multi-cam ensemble about a group of friends whose lives are altered after surviving a plane crash — ironic considering it was an air disaster that claimed the life of Leigh’s Grey’s character, Lexie.

Rachel Kaplan (Do No Harm) and Peter Traugott (Samantha Who?) are also attached as EPs.

idk, i don't think there was any way to write mark leaving sofia in a way that would've been true to the character. one of the main threads throughout his entire time on the show was how much he wanted a family

Lexie wanted out on her contract. Since they killed her off, they had to kill of Mark because logically he can't be with anyone else if Lexie is the love of his life (per Shonda's interviews). The fact that they had to do budget cuts as well is killing 2 birds with a stone.

They should have fired Kepner and Owen.

motherfucking yes to Kepner. like i'm still trying to figure out the point of that character and the 2 times they've brought her ass back to the hospital

Yea April is a waste, I cannot stand her and if her and Jackson get back together I will rage lol. I can deal with Owen but he gets annoying.
