Model Cara Delevingne: Girls don't understand Rihanna, she's down to earth and sweet

Rihanna might seem like a hard partying star, but according to Victoria's Secret model Cara Delevingne, the 'Stay' singer is a “sweet” and “down to earth girl” who looked after her when she first hit the big time.

The leggy blonde, 20, recently sat front row at Rihanna's Fashion Week debut collection for River Island and partied into the night with her at The Box in London. But it's not just some fleeting celeb friendship, the beauty claims she's been close to the star for two years.

''I met her when she was here two years ago doing a gig. And then she sang at the Victoria's Secret show and we hung out,” she told Grazia magazine.

''She looks after me when I go to LA. She's the best, she's such a sweet, down-to-earth girl.” With her sexual and at times controversial image, Cara claims the singer is misunderstood by other women.

She added: ''She doesn't have that many girlfriends but we have a lot in common. I don't think many girls understand her.''

While Rihanna might not be popular, insiders claim Cara is the hottest thing in fashion right now, with people falling over themselves to hangout with the gorgeous model because she's so “fun”.

What are their moon/risings? Aries are very assertive, forward leading people. If they're shy/reluctant to stand up for themselves, I bet they have a strong water moon or rising (prob Cancer or Pisces tbh)

One is an Aries/Gemini and the other is an Aries/Scorpio.
calinewarkwc69 27th-Feb-2013 06:10 pm (UTC)
Well, I can understand that- Aries/Gemini would rather have everyone be their friend and take the brunt of problems than confront it, and Aries/Scorpio probably just internalizes all their anger and quietly waits for revenge.

Hit the nail on the goddamn head.

Do me! I'm a Leo/Libra. :)
calinewarkwc69 27th-Feb-2013 06:23 pm (UTC)
I love this combo. Leo's tend to be, maybe not self-centered, but "King of the Jungle" types. They're very specific about their life and their shit, and sometimes it comes across as egotistical, but really, they're very full of pride and want to be recognized for their noble integrity. However, with your Libra moon, a lot of that probably gets evened out because Libra is the sign of one on one relationships, so you're able to really connect with people. I would also assume you're somewhat of a "defender" type, always trying to fix injustices and expecting some credit when you're able to work out conflicts for people.

I always suggest this site for people who wants to look into their own natal charts: http://astro.cafeastrology.com/cgi-bin/astro/natal

I actually just found my moon sign was Libra (honestly didn't know there was much more than sun/star signs), and now I realize maybe that's why I attract Libras? Four of my best friends, and my daughter, are Libras. I'm super interested in this shit.

Thanks for the info, bb.

It most definitely is. LOL. I have a giant notebook where I keep track of all my friends/relatives charts and I find that most of my friends have Scorpio moons and Gemini risings. Meanwhile, Aquarius men are like my kryptonite, lol. (I am a Gemini with Scorpio moon & Aquarius rising so makes sense)

I'm happy to help. I appreciate it so much more when people are at least inquisitive to astrology instead of writing it off like it's bullshit- I always wonder how much those people ACTUALLY know other than "sun signs."
jbants 27th-Feb-2013 06:35 pm (UTC)
Well shit. I'm sun sign Leo, Libra moon & Sagittarius rising. How the hell do you know what you're supposed to follow when you have three different signs?

Sorry, I could probably consult google for all of this haha.

Here's a breakdown I gave someone else in a different post that might help you understand:

Well, basically, in astrology, every planet is in a sign at the time of someone's birth. Everyone knows their sun sign because the sun moves through the same signs at the same time every year, and the sun represents our self identity, ego, will to live, and is somewhat of the "boss planet" so it's relevant enough to our personality that if you give someone your sun sign, they can probably tell a bit about you.

However, the other two major factors are your moon sign & rising sign. These are not so easily tracked because the sun changes signs every 3-4 days, and your rising sign is dependent on the time and place of your birth (some signs will only be rising in certain areas for 30 minutes, but can be rising for 3 to 5 hours in other areas).

These are important, because the moon represents your "inner workings," (as opposed to the sun, which is your "outer workings" so to speak) instincts, primal reactions, and unconscious. A lot of people who do not think they're like their sun sign (ie. a shy Leo, perhaps) will find that once they know their moon sign, it makes a lot more sense how the two work together.

Rising (aka Ascendant) signs are a little harder to explain, but I will try- the rising sign is the sign that is "on the horizon" at the time you're born. It rules over the first house of "self" and is sometimes known as the "microscope" that we use to read the rest of a person's chart because it will determine which signs the rest of the houses fall into. It represents how other perceive us, and our natural mechanisms that we use to adapt to our environment.

It's a lot more drawn out than that as well... while these three (sun/moon/rising) are the core signs to look at, the inner and outer planets. The inner: Mercury, rules communication, commerce, and travel; Venus, rules love, money, surroundings; Mars, rules sexual energy, action, "war planet", and Jupiter, the planet of luck, optimism, knowledge & insight. Outer Planets (sometimes called 'generational planets' because many people born in the same year or decade will have the same and it somewhat shows how same generations will have similar mindsets) are Saturn, the planet of limitation, restriction, teaching of lessons (so where Jupiter is here to expand your life, Saturn will knock you back down to help teach us self-control and boundaries); Uranus, the planet of change, shocking revelations, and individuality; Neptune, the planet of spirituality, illusion, imagination; and Pluto, the planet of transformation, endings for the purpose of new beginnings.

Outside of the core three, the signs in other planets heighten in you what they rule over.

SORRY if this is tl;dr. Wanted to explain it well, lol.

oh hey, sorry for being such a greedy opportunist but what would you say about cancer-libra rising, moon in virgo?
calinewarkwc69 27th-Feb-2013 10:49 pm (UTC)
LOL, you're not being a greedy opportunist at all.

I would also say that is a strange, but good, combo. I would assume, first off, that you're a hard-working homebody. Cancer is the sign of home & family and is also one of the "money signs (Taurus is the other)" and they focus on their financial security a lot. This works well with your Virgo moon, because your initial instinct on things is usually incredibly pragmatic, and you use that to stifle some of the emotionality of your Cancer sun. Not to say you're unsociable. With a Libra rising, I am sure people are very drawn to you, as Libra loves to socialize (usually better in small groups). If I were to guess, I would say you like to have small gatherings at your house with your close friends, where you feel comfortable and can host them, cook, be in control of your own surroundings. I would also assume you have your house decorated comfortably, but with nice things, that will probably last a long time (or you hope to be able to decorate that way). You probably don't do well with a lot of conflict or drama, because you react to things logically, but with a Cancer sun, you might have the tendency to "crab up" and keep your thoughts inside your "shell" and then when things get too rough, you snap- you snap nicely though because a Libra rising would never really want to be unfair or undiplomatic...

thank you <3 very accurate!
it's a rather difficult combo but some of the incredibly useful things you said made me think about shifting and channeling energies of these three signs to get around their exhausting differences better. this was really helpful!

fyi im rising: capricorn, sun: scorpio moon: capricorn

do you have any recommendations as to how to learn more about astrology?

This book really helped me understand how it all works together. I already had a basic understanding of all the signs and knew a little about the planets- but this book really puts it together by showing you how to make your own chart and taking you step by step through everything. The format is excellent and the information is very reader friendly. It's also a great tool and reference. I literally have a copy in my car & one at my house. I've had to buy it like 6 times because people always borrow and never give it back, lol.

(Also, if this ends up in a weird place, sorry, posting from my phone- sometime my replies go to places)
