No I like the clamp ones too, easier to use and I never get the kink people are talking about.

i do too and i feel like people just don't know which way to curl the hair around the iron so you don't get the weird dent O_o

I never did either unless I was "cheating" and kinda straightening my hair with the curling iron.

I prefer the clamp. It works perfectly for me.

I use them with clamp because I can control a little bit better, but I use the marcel clamp type of curling iron =)

I tried that before I got my hair curler, but I couldn't get the right technique down and my curls ended up looking square. :/
