New Set Photos From TASM 2 Set



Andrew Garfield was captured today performing stunts as Peter Parker, and later doing more stunts in his new Spider-Man costume. What most people didn't know was that Shailene Woodley was on the New York City set today as well. The actress will be playing MJ in Marc Webb's The Amazing Spider-Man 2. A role that Kristen Dunst played in the Sam Raimi-trilogy.


















In The Amazing Spider-Man™ 2, for Peter Parker (Andrew Garfield), life is busy – between taking out the bad guys as Spider-Man and spending time with the person he loves, Gwen (Emma Stone), high school graduation can’t come quickly enough. Peter hasn’t forgotten about the promise he made to Gwen’s father to protect her by staying away – but that’s a promise he just can’t keep. Things will change for Peter when a new villain, Electro (Jamie Foxx), emerges, an old friend, Harry Osborn (Dane DeHaan), returns, and Peter uncovers new clues about his past.

i haven't seen any of the spiderman movies, but i worked in an office this summer with a whole crew of action film geeks and they all disliked kiki's portrayal of this character. they thought she was "weird" and had strange comments about her. almost all of them so preferred emma stone as the ~love interest~. i was totally perplexed and almost wanted to watch those pos movies so i could defend flawless kirsten.

This is mostly the fault(/thanks to) the writing though, and neither actress. Emma's Gwen is written more like MJ than Kirsten's MJ is. MJ is supposed to be this strong support for Peter, his home base and his structure, and Kirsten's MJ was a whiny, self-absorbed mess.

ia, she could only do so much with what she was given. The writers fucked up MJ and Kirsten always gets the blame for it, it's quite annoying.
