Exactly. I'm not sure if it's me or Broste who is misunderstanding Lee's statement, but I was under the impression that Lee was sympathetic toward the VFX houses. I mean he says right away that he wishes that it wasn't such a tough business and that "It’s very hard for them to make money. The research and development is so expensive." I understand Broste saying that it's costly because of the fair employment practices but I don't think Lee is advocating for decreased wages for the artists or anything like that. When he's talking about how he wishes it were cheaper, he doesn't mean for the movie studios to work with the VFX houses --he's just saying that he wishes it weren't so financially draining for the houses themselves.
